Fortunately, this is their lucky day. Just like any device, the AC is bound to malfunction or stop working. Sometimes the problem might be light or serious.
1. Sensor Problems
ACs has been designed with thermostat sensors just behind the control panel. Every household that has an AC should know this. It is no trick; it is just how the ACs are designed. They use this feature to accurately measure the temperature of air near the evaporative coil. The sensor may fall out of position leading to a malfunction. The sensor should be near the coil but not in contact.
2. Faulty fan
The AC has fans that cool it, and another that expels the air. The fans may stop working due to various reasons such as faulty motor or friction.
3. No or low refrigerant
The AC uses the refrigerant to cool the air. Refrigerant may leak hence leading to a faulty AC. Just like the faulty fan, it can be fixed.
There are other AC problems that may cause discomfort during summer, they include:
- Condenser coils that are dirty
